Video Autoplay Restrictions on Mobile Devices
Many sections from Section Store support videos with autoplay functionality when the page loads.
However, there are a few important restrictions to be aware of.
Autoplay Limitations on Mobile:
While autoplaying muted videos work on many mobile devices, they may not autoplay if the device is in low-power mode. This is often due to iOS battery saver mode or a slow connection.
In some cases, the exact cause isn't clear, but the device may decide not to autoplay videos. Our code detects this state and displays the video's play button, allowing users to interact and watch the video manually if desired.
Sound Restrictions:
Since 2018, most browsers have disabled autoplay for videos with sound.
As a result, we do not offer an option for autoplaying videos with sound and do not recommend attempting it.
Full-Screen Video on Mobile:
Some devices do not allow videos to play inline behind other elements, causing them to enter full-screen mode upon play.
This behavior was common in older iOS devices but has since changed. If this issue persists, it is due to the device's functionality and cannot be altered by our theme
