Setting Up the Sticky Bar (Scrolling Announcement)

The SS - Sticky bar section shows short messages that scroll across the top of your store, like a news ticker. Great for shipping offers, promo codes and trust points.

Add it to your store

Go to Online Store, then Themes, then Customize
Open the Header area so the bar shows on every page
Click Add section and pick SS - Sticky bar
Drag it to the very top, above your header

Write your messages

Each message is a Text block. Add up to 6 and they loop continuously. Bold and emoji work. Want the whole bar clickable? Paste a link in the Content settings.

Control the scrolling

Enable scrolling: turn this off and your messages sit centered and still
Speed: a higher number scrolls slower. Mobile has its own speed
Direction: left or right
Pause on hover: stops the scroll while shoppers read

Tip: with only one or two short messages, static usually looks cleaner. Scrolling shines when you have several.

Position

Sticky mode (the default) pins the bar to the top while shoppers scroll. If your theme fights it, switch Mode to Fixed. The bar finds your theme header automatically and pushes it down so the two never overlap.

On a custom theme where the bar still overlaps your header, paste your header's CSS class into the Insert above element field. Our CSS selector guide (linked below) shows how to find it.

Quick fixes

Overlaps the header: switch to Fixed mode or set the header selector
Will not stay pinned: use Fixed mode
Text cut off on mobile: lower the mobile font size under Typography
